Getwele pioneered and proved a correlation between biochemical balance and reduction in drug desire/seeking in 2014. Concept accepted in 2017 by a Maryland Family Advocacy group that included us into a Guide to Alternative Therapies they will submit to the Federal Senate Committee of Maryland Assembly.  Current collaboration with University of Virginia (UVA) confirmed less drug seeking.

3 students were given a PhD & MSc (Biochemistry) and 1 MSc (Physiology) scholarships to study the concept by the University

Result Of the Research

Getwele has manufactured 4 protypes of a family of proprietary formulations of combined dietary supplements, developed for abstinence support of Substance Use Disorders (SUDs).  These formulations can help reduce the desire for drug use and its seeking behavior, when added as replenishment nutrients in addiction management.

The products are SMAASH-C (for stimulants), SMAASH-H (heroin and other opiates), SMAASH-A (fro alcohol) and Rejuvenate for malnutrition conditions.

Mechanisms of action are to replace the nutrients that can help in producing/balancing depleted brain chemistry that result in biochemical restoration; clear metabolites (broken done products from the drugs /new drug formation) which also contribute to drug seeking behaviors; replenish/balance cysteine-Glutamate-Glutathione anti-oxidant levels in the cells that are major anti-oxidant that clear free radicals which cause cell injuries and metabolic syndromes (diabetes and hypertension) e.g diabetes and hypertension.
